I like the look of the 14" barrel, not to mention that little extra "safety" factor for the fingers.

So, in your opinion: fixed or adjustable stock?

You can, but there's no mag disconnect, so you'd have to shuck the shell off the mag out first.

There is... did you remove the spring TVPP?

Yup. I like being able to, ya know, show the shotgun is clear and leave the action to the rear. The spring was one of my "this is annoying" points. Consider it fixed.

I'll assume there's no issues with lockup without the spring?

Issues? It doesn't lockup. Never did. Even with the spring: you can't count on it to send the bolt home without a helping hand.

Understood - what I meant was, are there any issues with the bolt staying closed (and the little locking cam staying engaged) without the spring?

(or do you need to keep forward pressure on the pump forestock?)

Well, it doesn't come out of battery just by its own weight. If you point the barrel up the pump stays forward. But it's definitely not really locked either. You wouldn't want to be trying to brace against a barricade or anything like that.

Nice Pics! the fixed stock is quite under-rated. We find the fixed stock to be more comfortable when shooting lots of rounds in a day, and does change the feel of how the SAP6 handles

I wouldn`t mind customizing it. Like

Those first two would definitely require some tinkering to fit I'll bet.

If you look closely at the Fab Defense stock on mine, you can see that it doesn't quite sit flush.

Instead of a nut (like the 870) the receiver of my SAP 6 has a circular protrusion with the stock thread. It fits nice and tight inside the "chamber" of the 870 stock, and tightens down firm.

Yup! Took a set of AR mag clamps, replaced the little strap with some sewn seat-belt webbing: we're off to the races.

how short are you from being 660 mm with that 11 inch barrel if you where to fold that stock on that shotgun pic?
