DAMAGE INC. "SOCOM" Clone.

Update.

After borrowing a set of headspace gauges to double check the headspace before shooting, the bolt did have to be lapped to headspace properly.

The bolt dropped into the reciever and functioned perfectly without any lapping ( I had to do some fitting to my other TRW bolt in IRENE in order to have it seat properly in the reciever), but I didn't have the headspace guages on hand to double check the fit at the time of installation.

After lapping for 30 minutes, the bolt now headspaces at 1.630" (SAAMI minimum for .308Win).Before lapping I estimate headspace was at around 3 thou crush (1.627").

I have kept the Norinco bolt to swap in so I can shoot cheaper 7.62 Surplus ammo.;)

SO just a reminder, even if a USGI bolt drops in and fits in your reciever, HAVE THE HEADSPACE CHECKED just to be safe.

SKBY.

Would it be possible for someone that chopped their M14 barrel to post a pic of the threaded muzzle with the FH removed?

Someone must have a pic!
Anybody?
