Damascus Re-barreling Q.

How about listing those in Canada that you know are qualified as a:
Doubles gunsmith with experience with the various dynamics involved with damascus barrels and with a comprehensive understanding of nitro proof.
Les Paul to name one. Nick Makinson would be another.

Also if the gun were of sufficient value I'd ship it to the U.K. and have it tested and proofed.

As an aside...someone mentioned using 12 Ga. brass shells...I have them but prefer not to use them because after using them you have to clean them in hot soapy water, scub them with a bottle brush, rinse, dry, tumble, decap, etc. Plastic or paper ones(cut down), I just pitch out!

I never figured I'd get this much info for the gun. I'll probably leave well enough alone and TRY to convince the wife that I NEED to reload for this gun. It is definitely cheaper. I appreciate all the comments, but the thought of rebarreling was thought of out of my personal safety. After all, that comes before enjoyment in my books. I have a wife and 2 kids that need thier daddy. The more I think about it, I believe that bp would be the way to go. I had no idea of how expensive it would actually be. Thanks again for all the advice.
