Damascus Slide for a 1911

Does anybody know where to find one in Canada.
I have seen a Caspian with a Damascus slide before.
Actually my avatar has one.

If anybody has one please post pics as well.

You could just buy it direct from Caspian: http://www.caspianarmsltd.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=5

That way you would be able to order it with the sight cuts that you want right from the factory. A slide is just considered parts and not a firearm, so there will be less paperwork and you won't need to go through an FFL in The States to buy it. There is a sticky thread or two around here somewhere about getting the necessary permits to import gun parts over the $100 US DOS limit...

That is probably your best bet. And probably the quickest rout to go as well.

Try finding out if any 'smiths in your area deal with Caspian - and see if they'll include it in an existing order. Lot's of 'smiths who build custom guns use or can get Caspian components.

I talked to my gunsmith today, and should be able to work something out.
Might be a few month but ill keep you posted once its done.
