The my money/Her money/our money thing, stopped holding water when we put $16k on my mastercard from selling the old house. $6k was renos on the house, $10k was fun stuff for curtmg. It's understandable if She is skeptical about some of purchases :p

I've told Her repeatedly to get a goddam hobby and spend some stupid money, but She just won't, so somebody has to spend the money. My biggest fear is that the money will go rotten or expire, if we don't spend it fast enough.
 
This thread cracks me up.

Ive been with my gf for 3 years and Im just starting to build up an armoury. Once she caught wind of how much my Sightron/Savage combo cost, she was not happy.

And Im like wtf? Its my cash. I guess she is just concerned i will go broke and wont be able to take her out or go on vacation.

im here researching 3 guns I want to get...the "last guns im ever going to buy" (cross my fingers). Im feeling pressured to order them now dispite my "limit" for the year being up.......and the wifes behind me going "your not going to BUY any more guns this year right??"

Sigh....

That Firearms Marking Regulations that kicks in this December 1 could make firearms go WAY up in price so i kinda want to get them all now....... they may not postphone it this time.
 
HA ha My wife was standing behind me reading and shaking her head... My armoury is too small to hide purchases... my student budget doesn't leave much room for new toys and my darn conscience would beat me up and spit me out if I even tried to hide something... I dunno.. maybe i'm an exception, but I love my happy marriage more than new guns.

My wife probably prefers not to think about how many guns we own or how much they cost... And yes I use the "we" word. she owns half of them cuz half of my stuff is hers.

+1 on that, me and the girlfriend have worked out, well actually she has set a rule that for every $100 I spend on a gun, it's 1 present for her. She got into thinking I'd be buying guns in the thousand dollar range...somewhat lucky for me I like my Norinco's ;)
 
I just bought a shotgun the wife doesn't know about. I am going to keep it covered and the next time at the range I am going to do my best tony montanna and say 'take a look at my little friend"
she'll prob laugh herself silly and want to try out the new gun.
 
When I bought my SVT-40 last summer, the little lady asked if I would be able to find the proper bayonet with it? " it would be a shame not to have all the original accessories for it..."

I've run out of animals that each gun kills... time to move farther north then I can throw wolverine, polar bear, walrus and yeti into the conversation of why I need another gun.

Wow I'm glad that I'm not the only one. One is in the vault that she dosen't know. The one is coming from a local dealer that she knows about. The other i better get to the post office before she does or she will know about that one. I'm glad I can trust you guys :D I hope she doesn't get on this forum or there is going to be some cheap guns for sale or free to good home and i will go with the guns. I still have to tell her about last years new additions.
 
Update. My next gun, will likely be Her gun. She's finally taken enough interest to actually want to get Her license and learn to use them. Once the Baby arrives, She's willing to get started.
I'm thinking a Gen 4 Glock34 with night sights, the changeable backstrap will help Her tiny little hands, and perhaps I also might need to shoot it a bit, just to show Her how it works.
She didn't even mention the last gun to show up, I'm not 100% sure She even noticed, She certainly saw the box, and me playing with it. Apparently She can't tell the difference between them She claims.

Worst fear, is that She gets Her license, then wants full access to the way fuller than it should be cabinet. May not be able to tell them apart, but I'm nearly certain She can count.
