is hard to forkin' move!!!!

That said, it's worth the effort!!! :D

My 51 Izzy was shooting 3" to the right at 50 yards:eek:. Naturally, I want the rifle to at least come close to the bullseye, so, using the SKS/AK front sight tool, I tried to move the post to the right. No go! That mother wouldn't move a millimeter it was jammed in there so hard.

I had some Liquid Wrench that I sprayed onto the post and let sit for awhile to soak in while I sighted in my AR. Then I tried to move the sight again. Barely got it to move (and had to use a stripper clip to act as a lever for some extra torque) but move it did.

I was finally able to move the front sight to the right and get the bullets at least around the point of aim using surplus 70's Czech ammo. I can't wait to see what Izzy will do with some good hunting ammo.

That 15.99 I spent on that front sight tool (plus the 4 bucks for the can of Liquid Wrench :D) is the best money I've spent so far on an SKS. I heartily recommend it.

Yes sir, I have to agree, best 20-25.00 an sks owner can spend (shipped)

Mine was shooting about 2.5 inches left (1953 Izzy) when I first shot it. Got the sighting tool and with a little muscle and a shot of penetrating oil last fall, I moved it over a little bit. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to shoot it after that untill last week.

Testing my cast ammo, at 100 yards benched with a small tide jug filled with water as a target. I nailed the target with my first shot at it. Aimed for the middle of the jug and thats where it hit. Thinking this was a fluke, I replaced the target with another small tide jug and nailed it again with my next shot. No fluke there, the guys from my club were laughing at me and reminding me that I should have filled the jug with sand rather than water after the first shot knocked the jug over and off the stand.

I was very impressed with the rifle and my home made ammo to say the least. Next time out I am going to use a more sturdy target but a few trips down the 100 yard range and back was good for this fat guy LOL.

Shredder, can you post a pic of that front site tool ON your SKS??? every site tool I've tried on any sks has NEVER allowed the tool to correctly line up with the site "pin". Any way I've tried, same thing, it's like the c-clamp part of the tool is just not quite long enough. I've watched you tube videos, etc and they show it being done exactly the way I try. Perhaps there are a bunch of bunk tools out there an i just happen to have tools that are ALL out of that bunch??

I wish I could post a photo for you, but unfortunately I can't post attachments for some reason.

There ARE some tools out there that are poor quality, though. I bought mine from Fabsports (site sponsor) when I bought a Tapco stock for my SKS. Maybe try one of those.
