So I've been rewatching The Pacific and now Band of Brothers and it awoke my "need" of an M1 Carbine, so you can only guess what joined my growing collection...

Nuts, right?

Nice little Plainfield Machine Co. M1 Carbine that I dropped into a reproduction paratrooper stock, and hot damn do I like this little package. Just missing a sling now.

Only downside is .30 carbine ammo is getting harder to find, but it's not like it'll be a range regular.

Nice early M1A1! The "stock kiss" is a little more pronounced on yours, but mine has the same thing going on.

I was pleased to see HBO use the correct model M1 in the series.

I used to have a vet bring back (Korea) with the folding stock. Sold it for $100 in about 1975.

The carbine is handy as hell, I can easily see why troops liked em. I'm going to start reloading the round at some point to account for the low supplies.
