Dan Wesson .357 Model 15 Pistol Pack

Speedloaders for the S&W "L" frames [i.e. Model 586 / 686 ] should work with the Dan Wesson.

I have the 445 Supermag and a 44 Mag with the barrel sets, both stainless. Love them! I've melted the barricades a few times from the muzzle flash!
 
In my Model 15 I use Safariland comp II k frame.Brownells has them but you should be able
to find them at most of the Canadian gun shops.
 
Well I pick up my model 15 on Saturday now the small town swine have squashed the 2" and 4" barrels to change it to restricted status. Must be evil being 2mm short of the line for the 4", it was registered as 102mm.

I only use the contempt because of the stupid questions they asked when the barrels were turned in. The first two had no idea why anyone would turn in the two short barrels. They actually asked the owner to come back the next day when a certain lady officer would be on duty who would know what to do with the barrels and how to issue a receipt for turning in firearms.

This makes me sick that these people carry guns around us all day and we rely on them as infallible protectors.

Are they also this confused with other aspects of Canadian law? How about traffic laws or drug laws?

I hope not and I wish that I am wrong but they made it pretty hard for the original revolver owner to move forward with the transfer he is doing to get out of the paperwork of owning pistols.

"Come back tomorrow when so and so is on, she'll know what to do" really gets me.

At least my old man's cop buddy is happy for me and sad that the two barrels had to be destroyed. He loves shooting and is pretty knowledgable about a lot of things related. He said he's been lucky to fire a few Dan Wessons over the years and they have all been slick and accurate.

This is more of a lazyness bashing post than anything. I think it's inacceptable to not have a clue in that position and pass it off for someone else another day.

They were registered to the original owner, he had a registration certificate for each one as an accessory and the gun was registered as a prohib.

I tried desperately to find someone near us to do it but in the end the wise folks in N.B. told the owner to take them to the RCMP.

I know I am settling, but I think the sadness of the short barrels gone from the set will be replaced by joy when I take it out Saturday.

I'll try to find another barrel and have a gunsmith make it 4.25" for me.
 
do you know where i can buy hammer springs?
the spring was tuned on mine. it has a very light pull
but on double action, it is giving problems with the harder primers
 
Mine came with 6", 8" barrels and the tools, those grips, wood contoured finger groove grips and a set of pachmyre ones. Plus the belt buckle :) hahah..

I just scoop counted the new primed brass that came with it. a federal 525 pack box holds about 150, there were nearly 7 boxes of them. Also came with about 7 boxes of ammo. I like the little extras.

I was planning on picking it up today, but the BC CFO mailed me my STATT on friday and I tried and tried and tried to get a hold of them all day. Voice mail box a few times and I sat on hold for about 30 minutes once. Federal office confirmed everything went through properly but it was still frustrating. A buddy and I were going to have a six gun and lever day at the range. Oh well next weekend.
 
Very nice..I am still looking for a 6in bbl/HV shroud for my DW15. Still has the original 4in but I have the other lengths for my 744 and would like same for the 357. Ever since eBay booted the gun parts thingee they have become increasingly difficult to find..:mad:
