Post person came today and delivered me a package from KODIAK OUTPOST. I've been waiting a long time for this.
I've finally put her away for the night, but snapped a few quick pics for your viewing pleasure.

I've got some grips in the mail, and today installed an Aftec Extractor from FREEDOM VENTURES... Why? I like the idea so I've always wanted to try one but never had a 1911 nice enough to justify the cost... I think this one warrants it (and now I have a backup extractor in the parts drawer)

Alumagrips (Thin & Smooth) - Took some getting used to the feel (it's sooooo thin!) This would be the ultimate carry gun. I like the cutout to remove the mainspring housing, but, looking at all these other fancy 1911 grips I'm thinking I don't like the plain look of AlumagripsOh well. It's simple and clean. Very functional.
Oh... and for anyone wondering how the AFTEC is... it's working great!
Zero problems. I read that some people worried if the springs broke or got weak it would no longer function... well... I installed the AFTEC with NO springs and it still worked (I guess I'm lucky.) I have 100% confidence in it
