Dan Wesson PM7/Marksman are they worth the money?

Would you say they are worth the money? I've never ever seen a DW pistol...
I have the feeling they are great guns, but it's a pretty steep price for something I never saw or handled.

I prefer the Marksman's look, but is it really worth 300$ more?

What do you think my friends?
 
FWIW, I own a PM7 and I think it's one of the nicest 1911's out there for the $$$. They are well built and very accurate. From what I can see the Marksman is essentially a PM7 with some cosmetic refinements such as no front cocking serrations, D&W logo'd grips and maybe a fancier case. Is it worth the extra $300? That's up to you to decide but, for me, I'd go with a PM7 and use the $300 for ammo or reloading equipment/supplies.....YMMV.
 
Buy the one you prefer. A gun has a very long lifespan and will probably last longer than you will :), will you regret the price premium you paid for the difference in 10 years from now?

I personnaly prefer the cleaner look of the Marksman. I haven't put my hand on a 1911 yet (or any .45 pistol anyway) but this one is the one I spotted, if I ever get into 1911, this will be the one :)
