Dan Wesson troubles

I'm going to take the three guns out and try different ammo. I have a couple kinds of factory and some hand loads to try. Could be the 15-2 just didn't like the ammo I had, I think it was factory ammo that miss fired. Not sure though. I wasn't shooting the gun so it could have been held loose as well. I let the range manager shoot my guns, sorta a payback for all the work he does at the range.
Slow DA, when you stop the hammer in the back position, does that with a lot of Revs with captive firing pins. I had to shim a GP100 and now have to be careful with a Llama, as a heavier spring weight is not realistic in it.
An ex from Ruger, C.E.Harris, said that after surplus pistol ammo dried up, and with them hard primers, some makers got lax about firing pin protrusion. I had some battered .44 brass that just wouldn't do in slow DA in a RedHawk, due to their "thin" rims.
