The following is an excerpt from the KW Record in which the fellow(dressed as Santa) being interviewed was followed home by a coyote that the cops eventually had to shoot.
Soulier is particularly worried children will see brazen coyotes in town, mistake them for dogs and approach them — instead of turning the other way and giving them room.
“The kids in the schools, it can be taught to them, the awareness,” he said.
“Make children aware,” Soulier also said. “Santa had a confrontation with coyotes.”
Soulier has also heard of wild turkey sightings well inside the city limits — including the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on Victoria Street. They’re not birds to mess with, he said. A frightened, cornered deer can lash out and hurt someone, too, he said."
Has anybody ever had a run in with a bunch of irate turkeys?
