The following is an excerpt from the KW Record in which the fellow(dressed as Santa) being interviewed was followed home by a coyote that the cops eventually had to shoot.

Soulier is particularly worried children will see brazen coyotes in town, mistake them for dogs and approach them — instead of turning the other way and giving them room.

“The kids in the schools, it can be taught to them, the awareness,” he said.

“Make children aware,” Soulier also said. “Santa had a confrontation with coyotes.”

Soulier has also heard of wild turkey sightings well inside the city limits — including the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on Victoria Street. They’re not birds to mess with, he said. A frightened, cornered deer can lash out and hurt someone, too, he said."

Has anybody ever had a run in with a bunch of irate turkeys?

Do not, I repeat, do not get between a turkey and his McChicken fix. They're like junkies on bath salts man. They feel no pain. A flock of them pulled up behind me in the drive-thru just the other day. They were riding this chromed out low-rider and banged into the back of my BMW. I got out of the car to talk to them about insurance and they piled out and jumped me. It was all feathers, beak and claw for a bit until my girl friend came at em with a baster and a bag of stove top stuffing mix. That shook em up and they tore off. What chicken sh*%ts!

I've seen the wild turkey on Victoria in the middle of Kitchener, I took a pic from my car. It did what you expect a wild turkey to do, it ran! LOL, no turkey attacks to report yet!

City Punk Turkey!

Yes darned right Turkey's can be dangerous! A couple years ago I was turning around in a Gas Station/Car Wash lot in my old neighbourhood to show my girlfriend the area where I had grown up and there waiting for a car to exit the wash was a big old Tom Turkey. I think he was planning a hijack. I motioned to the woman to stay put in her car while I chased the perp off. As you can see in one pic she put her window down to hear what was happening......oh the Turkey walked over to the driver's side and pecked her front tire a few times too, I think he was trying to cease her car from moving so he could rob her......;)

How many more news reporters attacked? How many more Bicyclists? How many more joggers? Enough Violence! Ban wild turkeys NOW!

my buddy had a tom that would come up to his basement window and see its own reflection and start spurring and beating his window. It would wake him up at 7am at least twice a week. He doesn't hunt and was so pissed off at this turkey he was ready to kill it with his bat. He hears it hitting his window so he runs outside after the turkey, He comes around the corner and the turkey gives one look at him then takes a run at him LOL He turns around and ran back into the house with turkey right behind him. Calls me up and I show up about an hour later with 12guage and my turkey tag but he was never seen again. He has video and everything. I friggin pissed myself when I seen it.

I believe it, we had 13 turkeys coming in to the bird feeders almost every day. The toms would see their reflections in the patio door and start pecking at the glass. One of them is in my freezer now.

Turkeys and geese can be mean critters. But nothing has the tanacity of an ignorant ol Tom, I hate them on the farm. They wreck vehicle paint and attack anyone defending their cars. We used to have one that would come in the house if you called him, then he would proceed to chase everyone out, I found it quite funny, contrary to my wife's opinion.....

Hmmmm, maybe that's why she won't let me raise stuff anymore lol

never had any problems with wild turkeys but growing up we had at least a 100 of em eatch year on the farm, ive been bit buy a tom or two, my little sister went in to feed them with a flower pattern on her shorts one day :) a 12 year old being chased buy 100 turkeys is pretty entertaining lol, they arnt the sharpest tool in the shead so to speak
