About 1 in 20 of my handloads would not chamber in a new m5. I phoned DD and spoke to Jeff, the warranty manger. he offered to replace the barrel. That seemed extreme. I said I wanted to try touching the chamber with a chamber reamer, to make it larger.
he said i was welcome to try that and if i screwed it up the offer for a new barrel on warranty still stood. Service cannot be better than that.
He suggested I buff the chamber with a bore brush before resorting to the reamer. I did that. I put a chamber brush on a section of a 3 piece cleaning rod, dabbed it with some JB paste and spun it with my electric drill.
Today I ran 50 rounds through the rifle with no problem. I am guessing there was a small burr or a piece of crud in there causing the chambering problem.
Rifle now has a Rock River trigger and is a superb piece of kit
