Daniel Defense barrel help!!

By plinking load, what distances are we talking here? I have a range that I can go out to 500m. I understand that an AR or specifically the AR I bought is not ideal for it but doesn't mean I don't want to try haha. Here's my dilemma I like to run good ammo whether it's my 22mag, my $500 308 win or my 4570. I can't see myself running steel case ammo in a $2000 rifle because I like to take care of my guns especially a rifle of this value. I reload everything I possibly can and even cast my own ammo (I understand you can't cast or 223. A man can dream though). I'm leaning a little bit on the side of buying a cheapie ammo for practicing my 3 gun since it would be under 75 yards for the most part and save the good stuff for distance and competition.

I used to run the Remington freedom bucket in my DD. Ran flawlessly, although i cant say how accurate it was as i have only used irons. i collected all the brass and will be reloading from now on.

i was hitting the 300m gong at CDTSA with the irons.

I have the V11 Pro and I love it. It personifies fun. It performs flawlessly. It's got the 18" barrel, Geissele trigger is just sick. 7075 upper & lower & the muzzle climb mitagator/ flash suppressor really works. Got mine from Ryan at Wolverine. Enjoy-money well spent

I'm currently saving for a DDM4 V7 16" standard version. Can't wait to buy this rifle. It'll be my main rifle, probably my only AR in 5.56. I've shot a shorter DDM4 before and it was annoyingly loud but the rifle quality was superb. I've held lower end rifles since then and you can just tell the difference. Fit and finish is spectacular on these DDs.
