I am looking at getting into the Ar game and I have settled with Daniels Defense. I have yet to find a bad thing said about them. I would like to buy a rifle that will be fun to shoot and possibly get me into 3 gun shooting. Looking through and reading up on their rifles I like the idea of their m4a1 but not a huge fan of the FDE finish on it. Is there anything similar to it with barrel length that you guys would recommend from them? I'm not looking for a precision ar, I have bolt actions for that. Mostly looking for something in the 14"-16" range, something that is pretty well rounded, built well and reliable. Please help me out, your input and experiences with be a huge weigh in on which model I go with!

You can't go wrong with Daniel defense! Love mine. Would buy another in a heartbeat. Mine started out as the m4v5 model but then I swapped out the handguard for the 15" Keymod version that's on the m4v11. I like it better than the quad rail. Whatever version you choose you'll be happy. I think that all versions come in black.

just so happens i have a v11 for sale :O

On the other side. I bought the AR as my first ar with all the intentions to get into 3gun. Well, now i'm 100% stuck on ipsc and just put a big dime down on my dream 1911 and new equipment.
I loved the AR platform, but now even my precision rifles haven't left the save in months because i'm more into practicing movement and shooting pistol for competitions :)

Everyone has their weakness. But Daniel Defense can suit Everyone, they really are a Top Quality brand.

looks good, got to love the keymod rails.

I have a v2 set up as a DMR setup with a leupold 556 bdc reticle, and a DD mk18 with an eotech. I think they deliver exactly what they promise.

Is the milspec + just the color of the rifle? Also, what's the difference between the v11 and v11 lw? Oh and who/what is RDSC? Haha

Mil spec + is colour no difference in function or hardwear, red deer shooting center=RDSC. Wolverine has the V11 in stock and the LW stands for light weight. If you choose a DD you will not be Disappointed no matter which model you choose. All this DD talk has got me thinking of a MK 12

I have a few years old ddm4 v7 LW......I love it. If you are looking for a 3-gun ar you can't go wrong with a DD.

The one you have up in the EE is slick... wish I had the money at the moment.
