Whats the good or bad word on these i like the package for the V5.

I wanted to start a new thread and see what the CURRENT information is.

things i like about DD so far pinned gas block first off. milspec milspec milspec check check check magpull stock check comes with carry case check comes with a manual check. hmm i like it so far..reviews show it shoots well, it looks nice and clean. i think the extras this has make it a better deal than just the rifle as well. pmag is 30 bucks right magpull MOE stock is like 70? milspec buffer tubes can vary price wise but not much diff between generic commercial or milspec about 60 - 80 bucks carry cases are not cheap lets give them 50 bucks for it retail we would probably pay about 50-100 depending on the quality. comes with the free float quadrail and i know those go for like 300-400 bucks.

this is all retail prices mind you i am just a mere mortal, so for the goodies it has not to mention the barrel and bolt being of high quality
i have found this chart on the interwebs

shows that DD spikes LMT etc are all on par for the most part not sure what rotating drum peening is and if it is superior inferior to fixed peening.

butit looks like a good option and i get the bells and whistles i wanted minus a lot of smelly bovine bowel movements.

The fact that the bolt is shoot peened is important, the method no so much… I believe the TDP used to allow for booth methods at one point in time.

On another note… if you recall the BCG picture I posted in your other thread… that’s a Daniel Defence BCG…

yes it looked like it was made by professionals Mirk. I think it is a done deal and I will get another shot at this first AR un-boxing thread. Just a matter of waiting again for the sale to finalize and the CFO to transfer... :| but i feel alot of relief now and the bad vibes are starting to subside.

I'm counting the minutes till I can get my V5. but I was told BC CFO is taking near 3 weeks for transfer approval right now. grrrr.

Got all these toys ready to go too lol.

I hate one thing... It takes so long to get up here.

dont sweat it. i just had an approval go through in about 3 days.

DD has it on display at their HQ in Black Creek.

They take it to all the trade shows as well, so you can get an upclose look at it.

This is what I want for my first AR. What are the main differences between the V3 and the V5? Is it just the length of the handguard and the absence of sights?
