Daniel Defense owners..are you happy with it?

I've had 500 rnds through mine with only one failure to feed. That was with cheap chinese surplus ammo and it not coming out of the LAR mag. Inspection found that the round itself was at fault. Retested the same mag with the same ammo and no issues. The fit and finish on my v5 was fantastic. I havent run it through a course yet but will eventually. I too like to keep my gear as pristine as possible but it is tool that is to be used. I played paintball for 25 years and played with markers costing just over $2k. I ran my guns and body pretty hard and my guns still looked damn near new. 'Battle Damage' is normal and shows its been used.
Have no second thoughts on DD. you'll be very happy.

I am a big fan of the 14.5 barrel and never noticed a difference with the middy gas sytem so a 16" is not much of an option

I love my DDM4, very happy with the fit and finish of it, had trouble with the iron sights I put on it, but that's not an issue with the rifle, and the sights are not DD. the fit and finish on my was superb! And my LAR15 don't like to seat with the bolt closed, my Pmags and G.I. Mags seat fine with the bolt closed or open.
 
So thanks to all your posts i ordered a DD M4 V5 with a swapped put 14.5 barrel! I just finished installing the SSA-E trigger and swapping stock.grip. I took a quick grainy iphone photo hope you like it!

Congrats, nice gun! Like I said I love mine, here my M4V5 - it's the newest gen with the DDM4 rail too

I was one of the really lucky few to get a DDM4LE from CSC and its eaten everything i can find to fire thought it without a single problem. Still yet to really clean it since putting near 600 rounds though it.

Only think i've really done is changed the rail to a Troy TRX extreme VTAC rail 11" to go with the 11.5bbl.

I also have an m4le, do you have any Pics with your new rail installed?
 
been happy with mine so far for sure. Only thing I'm contemplating is a new trigger (not that the trigger is bad, but I'm spoiled with a timney on my other ar build)
