Amen. There is nothing wrong with the rifles. It's poor shooter skills/training. In the Svc Bn I haven't seen my rifle since last Sep when I qual'd.

Probably quite good. Polymers can be much more forgiving in the cold then aluminum.

Its been my experience, they don't understand short simple words. Anything under 12 letters probably sounds too NCM for their liking.

On a side note, Officers who are in fact stupid, hate being called stupid. Especially by "know it all types" who just happened to have forgotten more about killin' folk that day, than they have ever known.

It seems to me like "I don't care how many sharp-end tours he has, he's still a new guy! I remember, back in Germany we did this exercise and . .......is still king there."

Back on topic that upper is UGLY. If Colt Canada can't make a UGL that is compatible with regular rails, like found on a ###y RAS, I think were gonna get screwed again. I just pray they fix the rails on the uppers and make them to standard.

Won't work unless it's also translated in French...in addition to the following criteria:

- will the officer who decides to push this be able to claim "implementing change" for his annual assessment?

- will said officer be able to build their SARP empire with them in charge of innovative change?

- will Kev's paper open the posibility for old in the tooth CF members in Ottawa nearing retirement to make a lateral transfer to doing the exact same job as a civvy contractor

Unless these boxes are all checked, LStL mentality won't allow.

I've worked in the crazy palace before. LStL is a key factor in causing Male Pattern Baldness.

Basicly, we are trying to reinvent what the Americans, French....and other people have been doing for a 50K big military.

These are things that we should slash from the budget, and buy off the shelf.

I think our Canadian pride is defeating us, besides everything we make eventually gets sold off or scrapped anyway! Example Avro arrow/Diemaco=Colt Canada now. Just put Canada in the name and it's all good! Yes I know they still make the rifles here, so we are told.

I remember being scolded for expressing the opinion of getting C8's with heavy barrels and KAC RAS instead of the current issue in my early days, the biggest reasons that came out were that we had to stay the same for the parade square, this combined with the reluctance for any change! Stupidity at its finest.

On my last tour, the M3 Illuminator and PEQ4's were to be mounted on the P.O.S Tri-Rail.

However, there was a bunch of guys who were under strict order to not mount them and to leave them in KAF for fear of the parts being broken and not replaceable.
