Had this piece in my collection about 10 years. It's a Danish return set up as a national match, with rear sight and glass embedded stock. Cannot find any information regarding this set up, any ideas?

Is the stock numbered to the receiver; the majority of Danish Garand stocks are? That is a match type rear sight aperture. The Danes didn't glass bed their Garands when they put them thru rebuild. I've seen many of the Danish rebuilt stocks and you will often find a synthetic bedding at the bottom of the mag well where the trigger housing seats. This was done to restore tightness when the trigger guard is closed. The Danish made barrels are well regarded for accuracy.

Is the stock ferrule screwed on from the front? Is the bottom of the mag well glass bedded? If so, this may be a US match bedded stock that was installed at a later date. The Danish surplus Garands have been in civilian hands for 25 years or so with many opportunities to do this or that.

For example, I've installed a NM rear sight on one of my Berettas and have rebuilt one of my Springfield Garands with US GI NM parts incl a match bedded stock, rear sight aperture and op rod. These aren't match rifles; they're just tweaked with match components.

The ferrule is not screwed on. The mag well is bedded on bottom as per rebuilt stocks. So the conclusion is the rear sight is incorrect, should be a standard peep. Thank you for confirming my suspicions.
