Yes, I know they were made in Canada, but does anyone know "when" this was. IE during or post WWII, Korea or when??

DA was using the DAQ stamp on C1 clips from 1958 if that helps.

I was asking this for another fellow, on another forum that wanted to know, but one of the guys there had the answer.

The contractor was named Canadian Commercial Corp, part of Valcartier Industries. The contract was during 1967.

DA was still producing .30-06 ammo as late as 1962-have some boxed tracer with that date.I remember getting lots of DA 1955 ball as late as 1972.We needed the tracer for the sub-cal trainer on the 106mmRCL and would pull the trace from 4B-1T belted MG ammo leaving the ball for,let's say, salvage.I still have some and it is good ammo.I recall getting loose .30-06 ball from the supply system for recreational shooting as late as 1980.Some of it was wartime US mfr. We used .30-06 in the .30BMG right thru the 1960s,mostly on vehicle mounts-Centurion-Sherman tanks,Ferret SC,and M113A1.
