I have just ordered a DAR 22 complete rifle. I would like to get 2 or 3 25rd magazines. I would like to know which 25rd mag is the most reliable:
I am guessing that Promag will not make the top of the list based on some other posts here on CGN, but would Butler Creek, Ruger, or another brand be the best choice?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Ok, so one vote for Butler Creek, thats good to know. Has anyone had any luck with the Ruger BX-25? They just look better quality to me and I like the ability to disassemble and clean.

Butler creek steel lips is the way to go. Never let me down when I had my sr22. The bx 25 is either prohib or has to be pinned because its a handgun mag as well.

While I have no doubt it works well... I don't think I coud ever bring myself to put "truck nuts" my 10/22...

Hahaha! got a laugh outta that one. If you get the clear mags, you can dye them different colors, looks pretty sharp if you like that kind of thing.

Yup steel lips are great.

You may also be looking at the TI25 mag they are good also but require some fitting to your 10-22.Nothing major but just some adjusting with an allen key .

All 10/22 mags work well in the DAR22... so pick ur poison! I echo the vote for BC Steel Lips mags... but spray them flat black with Krylon... the clear ones look cheesy and the smoke ones are only a little better. An even better way to go is the Ti-25 mags... there are a couple vendors that will ship them to Canada and they are not restricted.

I explained to the Tactical Innovations folks at the SHOT show that if they ever want to sell their mags into Canada, do NOT market them for the Charger otherwise they become prohibited here. They would like to sell into Canada but so far haven't figured it's worth the hassle and expense of getting their products licenced for export. :(

FWIW, all of their anodized parts are just gorgeous.
