I was thinking of building 10/22 and ran across the DAR website. Has anyone used these and care to comment? What's the noticeable accuracy difference between the 12.5" and 16.5" barrels.

Joe is good to deal with.
Dlask bolts are great. Barrels shoot well but will add weight if you get one.
It can be good or bad.
We are lucky to have a source for 10/22 mods locally!!!!

Thats a great question.
People should post their specs and weight.
Ruger says target 10/22 w/ 20" barrel is 7.5lbs
So add abit with loaded mag a scope.
My savage btvs is 7.5lb but almost 12lb with bipod, rail, rings and scope.
Would you like to carry a 10-12lb rifle gopher hunting?
If benchrest shooting, who cares unless your competing. The weight does factor then.

I have a 12.5" DAR .22lr and it is fantastic. Super accurate and a joy to shoot. The .920 barrel does add some weight, but the rifle balances very well. Based on my experience with the 12.5" I would imagine that the 16.5" would be best served off a bipod or bench. Others with experience of the 16.5" .920 barrel will confirm or deny this.

Thanks,
Cal.

I have the Ruger target and the Dlask dar , with 16 " bull on a fab defense folder, dlask did the trigger and the gun is far more accurate than the Ruger,I really prefer it and the price starts in the same range as the Ruger...kelly

ive got a 8.5" Dar barrel and a 18.5

both are fantastic.
@50 i can usually put 20 rounds in the same big jagged hole.
