I just returned from a trip to the range with my DAR 22. It has the Dlask DAR receiver with built in rail, 12.5" Xtreme barrel and a Leopold 2-7x rimfire scope. I had been having some ongoing reliability issues with this rifle, but thanks to Dlask, a few upgrades and a lot of advice from CGN member Dr.Lector I think I finally have a reliable, fun little rifle on my hands. It was great to take it to the range today and finally enjoy shooting it, rather than worrying about reliability.

Along with some plinking at some new reactive steel targets, I tried a few 3 shots groups with a variety of ammo. All the groups were at 50 yards in -3C weather, no wind, light snow, from a less than perfect homemade plywood rest. The best group was one V shaped hole measuring 7/16" at the widest part using Federal Champion 525 bulk (36 grain, copper plated). The next best group was 5/8" with CCI Blazer 2 holes were touching and one was a flyer. The third was 7/8" using American Eagle. The worst group was 1 3/8" using Remington Subsonics with 3 holes in a roughly horizontal line (all there holes were approx 1 1/4" below the aim point). This rifle certainly seems like it has the capacity for even better accuracy using target ammo, and a more solid rest. However I am very happy with the bulk federal ammo results since this is also my favourite ammo for my S&W M&P 15-22 (which, by comparison, shot a 1 3/4" group at 50 yds with the bulk Federal ammo and a 3x Burris scope).

Many Thanks to Dlask and Dr. Lector for all the support!
Cheers
Mark

ps: I did have 1 stove pipe out of approx. 250 rounds fired, but I can live with that.
