Bought my norc 14 from him and it was from a different importer than Marstar so was marked different. Everything went flawlessly. No problems at all. Small operation, stand up guy

I also bought an M14 from him and all went well except that he insisted on shipping express post which cost me about $65. That plus a higher than Marstar price made it an expensive M14. If I'd just sat back and waited a month for Marstar's next shipment I would have saved nearly 100 bucks. I guess that is the price of impatience!

Hahaha. :rockOn: If my hunch is correct, and Roger wasn't joking to you about his vacation plans, then his waking/working hours make sense. There's roughly a 12 hour time difference to S.E.A. depending on the country. And phoning friends there takes a bit of time shifting. If I'm right, then Roger sounds like the kind of guy I could share a beer and some stories with. Glad to hear he is also a good gunsmith.
 
Call Rodger after 10:00 p.m. Sometimes he's slow on e-mail replies. He works nights. I bought my M14 from him-it was first rate all around. It was more expensive than Marstar, but it was cleaned and test fired by Rodger BEFORE it was shipped to me. He told me he has a partner in China who goes to Norinco, gets a few guns to test from a production run and then Rodger buys/or not depending on how the tests go on that batch.
I will be a repeat customer. :)
