Data for .318 dia 8x57J

I am looking for powder and reloading data for the 200 gr .318 dia 8mm . I have just sourced Woodleigh bullets from Trade Ex . Thank-you.

I"m guessing you have the rimmed version of 8X57 using the .318" diam bullet. The only reloading data I can find is from 6th edition of Cartridges of the World: No data for exactly 200 g. but for 196 g and 225 g.

The stylized German " J" is actually an "I "for infantry,the "R" for rimmed and the "S" for the .323" bullet................if it doesn't say "S" it's likely for the .318"bullet...........Harold

I just took a second look at the data I posted above. The way I now read it is that the data for 196 g and for 225 g is for the JRS bullet i.e the .323" size. If this is so, then the only data above for the 8X57 JR is for the 170 g, .318" bullet. Sorry, not much help.

What rifle do you have? It is the rifle that dictates pressure levels.

The rifle is an Imman Meffert drilling [mfg 1937]. It was designed for the .318 j or I and is rimmed . The 8 x 57 IR . The caliber has been verified and i only require loading data for the powders and weight of bullet.
