Dating a Slavia 630

Hi Guys.
Anyone know how to date a Slavia 630?
I don’t see it stamped anywhere. I have not removed the stock to look under there though.
It has a serial number.

I have a 630 too. Just wondering why the need to know it’s date of manufacture. Are there good years, like older Smith & Wesson’s are regarded as better built and finished, by purists and collectors?

Nothing like that. All good as far as I know. I was trying to remember when I bought them for my sons figured the date the rifle was made would give me a good idea.

Trying to find mine. Its around here somewhere! Ill get the serial # from it, I know it was bought new in '86. Maybe that will help?

My son’s is actually dated. 1996 649697
Looks like they stopped putting the dates on them. Maybe a sales thing.
The days we have might help if someone else is trying to date theirs.

My Slavia 630 model 77 is 513###, there is an 88 under the serial number and I remember buying it in the 1980's some time so I think that could be the date.

No idea what they sell for, but the one I got as a kid has cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, they're a gateway drug to shooting addiction.

I payed 75 bucks for the 630, it hits a single hole at 10 yards.
