Dating Newer Marlins by Serial Number

With all the conflicting and confusing crap on the Internet, I need a confirmation by those that know. How do you determine date of manufacture from a Marlin serial number?

What I think is correct, but correct me if I'm wrong, is that you take the first two digits of the serial number and subtract from 2100 -- For Marlins made after 2000.

My serial starts with 93, and my math says a 2007 manufacture.

Subtract 100 from first 2 digits
yours is indeed an 07!!

The only exception is for serial numbers beginning with 91. 91 + a low number is 2009 and 91 + a high number is 2010. A call to Marlin will verify the year of manufacture. I haven't heard of any 90 serial numbered guns.
