Daughter's first outing for squirrel!

Truly fantastic! I'm a typical city dweller and I dream of being able to do that! Congrats to her on a great hunt and a great video!

couldn't agree more. i can't wait to have kids of my own and do this one day. that's if it isn't banned by then, 'think of the children!!!!'

Cool stuff. My first animals (in trapping) have been squirrels. They are good to learn proper skinning and cleaning with. They also taste good. :)

Great job on the video! Cute little girls... I have three kids, all grown up now... my two daughters joined me fishing and hunting from the time they were three or four.

In Ontario, red squirrels are considered "fur bearers" not game animals, and can only be taken on a licence to trap... black, grey and fox squirrels are considered small game...

Tell your daughters that the time will go quickly if you sprinkle in range and fishing trips.

The irony of this is that ive never seen a black/grey squirrel outside of the city. Here in central ON (which i guess is outside of their traditional range) they are NEVER in the bush. Ony in town/semi rural communities.

To the OP, well done!

Awesome! Congrats on getting two more girls into this great sport and not being one of those parents to wrap their kids in bubble wrap! Your video brought back fond memories of going out hunting and shooting and learning from my dad at a young age... keep up the great work. :)

This is great to see traditions being passed down. If my granpa hadn't have take. Me out squirrel hunting as a kid, and later deer hunting, it wouldn't be my lifestyle now. The only negative thing that every happened from our hunts was writing that I had shot several squirrels with Poppa in my 4th grade journal. Lefty teacher called my parents and dad sorted her out, but I was told not to talk about it in school. That would be my only warning to heed. Great job once again!

Wow! That's stupid that your teacher had a problem with it. In high school I did a project on the Ross and Lee-Enfield rifles and brought my own two examples of the rifles in to class to do my presentation (my presentation stole the show). Oh, how times have changed eh? :(

Laughing!

When standing, she's not strong enough yet to hold the gun up for any length of time, so we've been practicing either sitting or squatting so she can support the gun off her knee.

Cheers,

Brobee

The squat is my favorite field position for accuracy... :)
Great Video Brobee!
