David Bentley Revolver info?

A new toy today. This thing says David Bentley, Maker. Birmingham, England on the top strap, T.P. # 29 on left side, and RC 720 on the grip cap.
I don't know the cal. yet. Anyone know this maker or markings?
It's in the .44 or .45 cal range. A solid old gun. Thanks..

David Bentley was a firearms manufacturer in Birmingham England from 1845 to 1883. My guess is that this is a David Bently Bulldog.

David bentley didnt make that gun he sold it tho.
He mighta put it together he bought some of his frames from webley as did others like Hollis and sons ect.
Its a 1st or second model RIC and id guess either 450 or could be 442.
I have one simlar.

IIRC the TP is for Toronto Police. They had Bentley and Webley revolvers. It is probably in .442" CF.
