Thought I might share this. Not every day you get to shoot Prairie Gun Works .338 Lapua Timberwolf and PGW .50. That blue tarp is to keep all the sand and gravel from flying from the muzzle brake. The rifle is very comfortable to shoot but a lot of things around you move when that bullet leaves the barrel. Lots of mirage and a little wind to keep things interesting.

Quite an experience!!!!! Check out Day at the range Manitoba Style 1 and 2 if you want to know more about the targets.

Target at 650 yards. We had the .308s and .223s along for same distance.

A little shade in 26 C temp, with a video monitor of target to watch what is going on.

I had to use a picture of the video monitor from a previous shoot but this is what you see back at the truck.
Not much point in shielding the camera though unless you wanted to dig it in. We sighted on the gravel pile at 550 yards where hits
were clearly visible and then moved to the paper. The camera was positioned about 15 yards at a 45 angle to the target.
For lighter calibers the wind flags were up but I think they were just confusing us. Mirage was somewhat more helpful.

Just an interesting picture of the size of this rifle. Twenty seven pounds!!!

I don't own these. Thanks Don for the opportunity.

After using the .50, I am looking forward to the completed build of the Coyote barrel and action I won at Nokomis last month. It will be their folding stock model similar in style to the .50 with pistol grip, adjustable length and adjustable cheek rest..

The tarp made it through the day of shooting. I had no idea things around the back of the gun would move that much though. What an experience!!!!!

Very interesting pics

That gun is the of Marmaduke of rifles, I bet the reactions are just like the comic strip!

Thanks, it's was worth the look
