Daystate Delta Wolf

Interesting, yes. Expensive, definitely. They will need to work on the sound suppression to make it legal here. Which will likely interfere with the onboard chronograph. With the ability to change calibers/velocities quickly it could replace a lot of rifles in a cabinet. Time will tell.

Yup. I was thinking about it seriously and then the price set in and now I'm thinking maybe not so much. I'm sure it's very nice though.

The quick switch barrel doesn't appeal to me, as much as a quick way to go from one caliber to another (I'm pretty much a 177 kind-of-guy)
- But it could be fun for having a barrel optimized for sub 500fps (with a front aperture sight for 10M match) and a different barrel-twist for 800fps for FT

Wonder if the onboard programmer will also control the regulator pressure?
- It would be nice to be able to go from 85 bar for 7.5J and 16J requirement... and easily bump it up to 120 bar for 24J

Wonder if the onboard programmer will let someone store different profile for different pellets?

One of my biggest issues with bull-pup rifles were the so-so trigger. With electronics, the linkage is now irrelevant...

From what little I have read the ability to change velocity by 1fps incriments is possible as well as storing and retrieving custom tunes for different calibers/weights. It will have preset tunes also.

Copied this from another forum.

The Delta Wolf will have Factory settings for each caliber. 177 22 25 30.
Each caliber will have three optimized tunes ie power settings. Low. Med. High. So far we have 12 total.
Each factory setting can be changed in one fps increments to maximum accuracy of each of the three per caliber. Example 22 med power factory setting is let’s say 850 fps. I want 880. I use the touch screen to input 880. The Chrony built in makes changes in the dwell and strike to my desired level. Then I can save this as a permanent addition to what the rifle comes with from factory. This can be done on each of the calibers multiple times and saves. A LOT of available customer tuned programs. I hope this helps

Isn't life funny... I'm sitting quietly on the couch with my tablet.

Wife comes over: What are you doing?
Me: Nothing, just looking at some stuff
Wife sits next to me: What's that?
Me: Just reading about a new airgun
Wife: Buying another airgun?
Me: No, just reading up it...
Wife: Yeah, I've heard that before :bigHug:

Ho well.
- If 8 shots qualify as a larger capacity magazine. What did they have before? 5 shots?

Wonder if they'll follow FX lead and produce some serious capacity magazines!

Nothing :p Unless the wife decides to get in FT... at which point I could rationalized adding another air rifle to the safe...

- I was just was reading up/watching videos about Daystate, I didn't realize they'd been making rifle with electronic boards for close to 20 years... and that things seems to have been petty much trouble free since the MK4.

My only experience with electronics in firearms were 2x friends. One with a dead Walther FP and one of exchanged his Morini AP because of board issues.

There is a lovely FX on the EE which will be a great way to see if the itch is scratched and half the price........with a scope?

What are you waiting for?

Candocad.

I had my name down for a .25cal Impact in the latest shipment but ended up buying a Red Wolf instead.

Nice choice. After owning both the impact and the Airwolf....I won’t be buying FX again.

Just love the Daystate performance.

Glad to hear that. I've been feeling that I made the right decision in not buying the Impact.
