I'm looking into getting a DBM for my 700 as the title states and my question is this, what's the best option out there that isn't going to break the bank? I've done some research and it seems the options are endless, ideally I'd like a set up that would accept either Magpul or MDT mags so as to not have to spend a fortune on the darn things! What would be your go to with that in mind and what would you stay away from?

Thanks in advance for the help, much appreciated!

Been down that road 3 times already. The Magpul DBM is by far the best value out there. It requires inletting like most DBMs worth talking about but you can get it done with some files. A Magpul Hunter 700 stock and DBM will run for about the same as the premium DBMs out there. I'm also running an ATRS DBM on one of my rigs. Very high quality hardware but it needs to be inletted by a pro with a milling machine. So yeah, Magpul is definitely my recommendation for anything except the very high end set ups.

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah cost wise the Magpul set up seems the most decent, only issue is, my 700 is sitting in a real nice b&c m40 stock sooo.. You see my problem yeah?

Actually I've inletted 2 B&C stocks for Magpul DBMs and they turned out great. With B&C you will removing material from the aluminium bedding block too so it takes longer. The Magpul is easier to inlet yourself because you don't have to inlet for depth, only size. Look up my 700 Mountain SS thread and see for yourself.

Oh really? That's awesome news! The Magpul DBM kits are real cheap so if I could go that route that would be dandy. I certainly will Check out that thread, headed there right now haha.
Thanks again for the advice, it's much appreciated!
