I've seen 7.63 Mauser pistol, .43 Mauser, .280 Ross, .40-82, Indian WWI .303 Mk. VII fired in a Ross, coiled .450 Express, .44WCF, .22HP, .250-3000, .303 Sav. various other assorted late 19th, early 20th century brass found on the land. Musket balls (trade gun size), gunflints. These ml items were near the tree line on W. coast of Hudson's Bay, no doubt traded from Fort Prince of Wales. History in the Arctic doesn't tend to be obscured by growth of vegetation. Talked to elders who had used ml guns, one gentleman could remember seeing a fl gun used.
