Dd 2013 vs 2014?

Hey all. Pardon my noobness but I am looking at purchasing a Daniel Defense AR (as my first AR).

I dug around on the forums a bit and on the DD website but can't see a clear comparison between the 2013 and 2014 models. Mostly been looking at DD4v5's.

Are there any big differences? Aside from the buttstock? Was also looking at the M4A1. Looks like the older models go for a couple hundred less.

Any help would be appreciated!

Same gun, updated furniture. Personally, if it was my money I would be snatching up a 2013 that is discounted at CanAmmo or Wolverine and spend the money on adding a good grip, BCM charging handle and stock of my choice. Should put you at about the same price with a rifle that suits you!

Good advice.
Unless you want the mk12 or m4a1 which I assume you don't or you wouldn't have asked this question.
Or you want one of the new colors. Then your money is better spent grabbing a discounted 2013 model.

Put whatever grip and stock on it you like. You will end up changing them most likely whichever one you get.

Thanks for the advice. I mainly wanted to know if anything was improved upon or replaced between models. Cosmetic wise I'd probably go with black and the magpul stuff looks good anyway.

I admit I like the idea of a sorter barrel m4a1 though.
