Now I'll admit that this video was highly overdone and the things rob pincus was doing were ridiculous BUT I would like to see most the guys on cgn try and do some of the stuff he was doing. Just gotta play devils advocate here
 
I can jump hay bails in slow mo no problem... Heck dunno if my YHM muzzle break can withstand a cinder block tho.

Chuck Norris would have made this video epic. Cinder blocks would have simply crumbled in the wake of his awesomeness.
 
You guys never jump over bales of hay with a loaded gun?

At my gun range we HAVE to jump bales of hay to get into the range.
 
Anyone ever consider the target market/audience? Does this make you more or less inclined to buy a DD? Exactly - probably won't affect your decision in the least (beyond giving you a bit of a chuckle). Yeah, it's probably jumping the shark a bit - but what do you expect when people have a 5-second attention span? And as for dumb commercials, the US has nothing over the Japanese...

My range also does this, although recently voted to have them set on fire too (the vote to have sharks with laser beams attached to their heads lost by 2 votes though). Helps keep you on your toes ;)

Why have a bolt release then? It seems to me the Germans got it right with a left side, reciprocating charging handle.

I know this is thinking a little bit outside the box, however the cinder block demonstration is a quick and easy way to show the consumer that this is a rifle that doesn't need to be treated lightly and still be reliable.

I think the scope is mounted normal and he's using forty five degree offset backup iron sights
Correct me if I'm wrong
I'm not expert on systems/carbine manipulation/jumping on car trunks/jumping over hay/etc
 
I love how anyone cares if DD puts up a showy commercial. It's like having a commercial where professional drivers are stunt racing Dodge rams. Does anyone really need to do synchronized drifting in the nevada desert? Ideally no. And what kind of commercial do you want? Some other random dude just standing there saying "DD rocks"? how fun would that be. There is no bad publicity, only publicity you didnt get.

Basically the commercial shows: the gun is tough, a tool and not a princess. It is made for more than just stand and plink. Rob Pinkus is more athletic than you and obviously doesnt give a :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug:.

I mean has anyone seen the sonny pudzikas info vids? That is some crazy :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: too but would you rather have 2 dozen Pudzikas' or pinkus' on your team or 2 dozen overweight gun nerds that talk sheet on the internet and rarely take their training beyond stand and plink [or even worse sit and plink]? I find its always the fat kids that :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: about other peoples athleticism. just sayin'
