Hello,

I was looking to purchase an SBR and was leaning towards the DD MK18. I was wondering if you guys are going to be getting the black one in stock anytime soon.

Also, if anyone has any other SBR recommendations, please post them below!

Cheers,

build your own from scratch you will be a lot happier

ie you get everything you want nothing you don't
its really fun
and your rifle will look so unique and exactly how you want it to.

Haha and there it is, you're entitled to your opinion but you could stand to be less of a salty mofo. Yes i would also recommend kac too, but it's even more money but finding a kac in stock is challenging enough good luck finding a kac sbr.

noveske, hmm not just crap, its overpriced crap - if you have the money, save a little more and get a KAC or ATRS.

Lol ... Do some reading. Noveske is on par with the quality of KAC, but in my opinion is BETTER, because the bolt isn't proprietary, which is why I built a custom Noveske from scratch with better specs than a KAC for about the same price as the KAC I had on pre order... I like compatibility... And although Noveske is definitely more expensive than your average AR, they're BEAUTIFUL rifles and no doubt top tier.

Out of curiosity I just went to atrs site... So for the same price as my noveske you get OD furniture and a dpms barrel huh? Deal of the century boys.

Guys... This is Wolverine's forum.

That said, I am excited to tour KAC's shop in Titusville later this year! Can't go wrong with a DD though. If one doesn't want to do a build, the DD rifles are a great choice. The DD MK18 is pretty flawless for what it is.

My DD MK18 if I had the cash for a factory SBR, would be pretty much bone stock, it'd just gain tritium sights and a Geissele trigger.

Just for giggles and you know what else...

Sounds like wolverine aught to stock noveskes hehehe.

But I would 100% recommend DD as well.

other than your opinion (which if you polled in black rifle forum, you'd be up for a rude awakening) - what does that overpriced milspec rifle have over a DD or a Stag? Its not in the same league as KACs/ATRS Gen4s/LMTs simply because it brings nothing new to the table and anyone who argues the point has not owned these brands. Far as opinions go, hell I'll even take a Norinco over spending 4 times the scratch if I just wanted an M4gery lower.

Yes, spend a little more and you get a barrel in your choice of contour machined from a blank and bolt face matched to that bbl. Thats on top of a an ambi lower with tons of features that should be standard on all lowers by now. Just to drive the point home, an ATRS is a custom proposition - only thing limiting you is your imagination and we jus saw, it tops out at OD furniture and DPMS bbl. lol

I would was looking at that option but the price for the MK18 wasn't too bad so thought this would be a good route.

You can't go wrong with a DD!
PWS is also a great brand.
This is mine. It's a VLTOR 10.5" Runs like a top!

Ah nice looking gun, how hard is it to clean and maintain?

I'm wanting an sbr 300 blackout rifle lately too. Gonna be keeping my eye on this thread...

Was thinking of an aac 9" upper, with a pws mk1 lower...

Sorry, EE? I'm new to the forum.. Have been scoping it out but not sure what exactly you are talking about!

Short ARs are no easier or harder to clean than standard length ones. Depending on who you talk to, it ranges from getting all the carbon build up out of the gun to just lube and shoot, forget cleaning! Personally, it takes me 40 mins after a range session.

The EE is the Equipment Exchange where you spend all your money buying gun stuff and pissing off the old lady!

IMHO DD is the best value for money... There are many cheaper, and they work, but their fit and finish aren't as nice. There are a few better (KAC, LMT, Noveske, etc.), but they're quite a bit more money.
