DDAY and Germany pics 56k DEATH

The problem with these trips is that they're addictive!!

I think a motorcycle tour of North Africa would be amazing as soon as things calm down in Libya and Egypt. Apparently there are still lots of vehicles in the desert (no rust!) and most of the battle sites and cemetaries are rarely visited. Whose in????

1-5s would be sweet!!

Someone should tool up for it! Would mainly be a labour of love, and recoup some costs from a limited amount of sales.

Check out GunLab on YouTube and the Interweb. Same guy from "Forgotten Weapons" is making some VG1-5s.....

He made some posts on the K98k Forum too...

Check out the video of him stamping some VG1-5 Receivers.

I did not see the polish memorial.

My gf is not interested in this stuff at all, so my time was really limited for war type stuff. I had to make some tough choices on what to see.

I love the pics! We crossed many of the same paths. Thank you for sharing!!
We spent about 30 minutes at the Louvre and two days on the beaches of Normandy. My wife and I were actually on Omaha Beach for June 6 at 0600, it was incredible!

I have heard about some of your trip and am quite jealous about the time when you went. Crazy place it must have been.

Thanks guys. A few more.

Arc D'Triomph Which is way bigger then I had imagined, HUGE

Gun base

A few more it illustrate the violence of the casement explosion.

Funny story. While walking from the casements down the fire control bunker, a nasty storm blew in, it was closer to run to the bunker, so the girlfriend and I sheltered in the bunker for about 20 mins until it passed. HAHA.
View from bunker in storm.

The tigers frontal armor, without reference its difficult to see but about 100mm.

A pic of the catacombs, 7 million skeletons down there.

A few pics of the wall, and the foundation of the gestapo headquarters. It has a display about nazi racism and crimes and such.
