I have done some reading, looks like it is no problem.
What do others think?

I have 50 to do, more than I wanna run through the rifle. Think i will give it a go.
Bought the brass with primers in it, just want to clean and size them properly for myself.
how are you going to clean them? If you do anything but tumble them, then you do not need to de-prime them at all. Just set your decapping pin high, lube the case, and resize them. No harm, no foul.
This foolishness about neutralizing them is crap. I have done thousands, never an issue. Go a little more gently and you will be fine and even if one does go off, it will not kill you, or blow off a hand, or penetrate the ceiling and kill the baby next door...
For you guys putting a drop of oil on the primers, do that then put the primed round in your gun and pull the trigger. 10;1 it will go bang. Never tried it with WD-40 but have with oil, water, and hoppes #9 to see how much oil had to be on my fingers to potentially contaminate a primer, they all went bang.
As to De-capping, the shell is inside a die, even if it were to go off it isn't going anywhere. Have done all kinds of them and never had one go bang.
Must this come up EVERY month?
Just decap the live primers, put em in a box and use for load testing or plinking.
No oil, No water, No VooDoo Magic and No HAZMAT suit required.[/QUOTE
X2 JUST DO IT
