De-tactical a Ruger SR-22

Hey I'm thinking about possibly removing all the tactical stuff from my sr22 and turning it into a regular 10/22. Main problem is that the SR22 barrel is .750 in diameter which won't fit either a standard barrel stock or a bull barrel stock for .920. What are some idea for stocks?

I have a brand new standard 1022 barrel I'll trade you for your barrel

Buy a .920 stock and free float the barrel. About the only option I can think of off the top of my head without putting more coin out.

Depending on what type of stock you are getting. You can also hog out the barrel channel a bit to for the .750 OD of the stock barrel. It's not that hard to do, just takes a hour of your time.

You should be able to find someone with an upgraded 1022 that would trade for your SR22. Some places do have stock. You just have to keep watching

If you get a wood stock for the regular sporter barrel it is really easy to open up the barrel channel using a deep socket wrapped with coarse sandpaper. Just brush some Varathane on when you are done and it looks factory.

Lol. The more they're wiling to commit the higher the priority they get I guess. I doubt that was all for 10/22's too.

This...I sold mine because it was heavy and parts kept coming loose. I was glad to win a light plastic one even though it's rather ugly.
