Deactivated Ar15/10s for sale

I'm more curious on how they deactivated a piece where nearly every component comes off in some menial way, especially the combo of steel and aluminum. Weld the receivers together, fill the whole thing with epoxy?
I've used an endoscope on a few of my dewats that can fit one to take a peek, and I tell you, its a dog's breakfast in there. I'd only assume the AR would be even worse being made of aluminum.
I've only seen epoxy dewats on really early versions, i.e., c0ck and clicks. And some on DIY jobbies.

seen quite a few AR dewatts that only had the 2 takedown pins with a spot weld on them, and no BCG inside, they can weld whatever inside, but as you know, that dont matter much,LOL..there's a reason they sell for more money than when they were active,

I have seen many deactivated firearms, the lack of standard is pretty wild with the earlier done ones. I have seen some that have complete barrels and bolts and only a small tack weld holding the action closed and another to stop the firearm from being disassembled, others had every single moving piece welded on, muzzle brake, rear sight slider, front sight post, grenade launcher sight, basically anything that the guy could make wiggle or move in some way he welded it solid.

I love having guns to display on the wall that I don't have to worry about stupid laws on storage. That being said, it's cheaper to just get an airsoft rifle to hang on the way.
Airsofts are way nicer then anything mutilated to the latest standard of deactivation.

Cheaper, they work and can be manipulated and taken down and there is no trauma or shame attached to them.

The fact #### and click's are still legal, and we are now living in a new and rapidly improving age of 3d metal printers and vibe coding software sort of show you the calibre of people making up the rules in Canada

I'd like to see some evidence of all the old #### and clic deactivated guns that have been built back in to functioning crime guns.

For a modern dewat that's nuts. If you're gonna start collecting new-standard dewats at these prices it would be cheaper to spend that money on getting a prohib BFL. I know a few that did, and it isn't that much more than the cost of a handful of pricey dewats. AND you keep it unmolested...

that Ar deact would not be too hard to bring back to life,LOL..looks like a LOT of these prohibed Ar's will end up in the wind,as full fuctioning Ar's,,A LOT OF THEM,,so much for public safety, they went from registered to somebody.to in the wind where nobody knows where they are, probably why they ask such high prices, they know what will happen to them,
I honestly think the amount of AR’s used in crime will remain static at approximately zero.

20 years policing and I’ve not seen one used yet.

If I was a betting man, I’d expect their first use will be by gangs out east (Ontario/ Quebec) It’ll be illegally acquired from the U.S. The person using it will be known to police and prohibited firearms.

The crime firearms I bump into in Alberta are mostly junk, tho I’ve seen handguns used increasingly in gang related crime. Except for a brief period in the early 2000’s, when we had an active gang war, handguns had been rare.

absolutely, they will use smugled guns because it's easier and money is no object with these people.

I don’t think many people will try and make DEWAT’s into functioning firearms tho.

There will be millions of prohibited firearms floating around for generations - can’t sell them (legally) so people are stuck… for now.

Right now 4L of milk costs $10. Round about 30% inflation from pre Liberal years.

When it reaches $20 or $30 people will be willing to take more risks to feed themselves and their families.

You want to see a desperate person? - just let them hear their children’s bellies rumble.

Seriously, what would you do to keep your kids fed? … I’m not sure I have a moral ceiling for that.

The Liberal government in Canada provided roughly $9 million in grants and loans to insect-protein companies, most notably an $8.5 million investment to Aspire Food Group to build a large cricket processing plant in London, Ontario.

Meanwhile Carney spent $169,000 on in-flight catering for one international trip. He spent a million dollars for in-flight snacks for the year.

A black market prohib could fetch enough to feed a family beef and potato’s for a few weeks…🤷

We’re not there yet, but it’s heading that way.

Agreed. Essentially if you can't feed yourself, you've got nothing to lose at that point... And as Canada continues to spiral into despair we will see more and more crime...

WRT the three links in the original post, I assume they sold as the links no longer work. So someone wanted a Dewat for the cave... Even at those prices...
