I've only fired Brens in 7.62mm NATO. They were certainly better than the C2.
Nice unit.I have a deactivated C2A1. It was on the EE here on gunnutz about 12 years ago for $1600 IIRC, being sold as a live full auto. I let it BTT once (back then I think it was 3 days) and when nobody went to grab it as a live gun, I made arrangements with the dealer to buy it and have it transferred to my local gunsmith for deactivation. Here is a thread on it from back then: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/75530-Bubba-is-a-saint-compared-to-me!!?
A bunch of years back some of might recall that the Ottawa Sun had a website with information they had of all the firearms registered in Canada. You could search by model number and it would list the quantities out there, and give you the postal code of each owner. At that time, I queried their data base on the C2 / C2A1s that were registered, and found the following information:There are some C2A1 around. Canadian Arsenals sold off 100 of them, complete with 4 mags (30s) bayo and sling. They cost $199 each.

C2A1s in Canada: 3 converted auto, and 3 full auto. There are another 4 registered full autos as C2 (including one as a C2 1) and one more converted auto. Grand total = 10 in civilian hands.
Hmmm.. Arsenals sold 100 of them. I wonder where they went?
