Hey guys. I am new to the site. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good dealers who were selling dewats or deactivated guns from around WW1 and WW2. I know about Collector's Source but are there any others? Thanks.

You are new here, so... a little tip. Most of the crotchety old pharts on this forum consider Dewats to be a travesty. And they don't trust newcomers totally either. Just saying...
Now if you are looking for a Sten gun then it's understandable that Dewat is your road to go down.
Perhaps you don't have a PAL which also makes it understandable. Could even you you are prohibited from owning guns, then...say you don't have a PAL.
But you will also need to be more specific as to what dewat weapons you are actually looking for.

Hi. There are no distributors of DEWATS, so any you see in a shop are there mostly by 'accident'. You may want to get onto the Exchange forum and put up a 'Want to buy' ad.
A real crotchety old phart thinks DEWATS are a colossal waste of money for an oddly shaped paperweight and don't trust anybody. snicker. We, I mean, they think Collector's Source is run by pirates too. Although they do carry very high end stuff that is priced accordingly.
iCollector has some too. A DEWATed and documented as being at the Bulge, MP44 sold, in 2011, for 10 grand US plus $1950 buyer's premium(fee). So you really need to decide what you want and how much you want to spend on a paperweight.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know some people get pretty upset when a gun is deactivated but yeh I don't have a PAL and I know very few people have a prohibited status. Unfortunately, the guns I want would require a prohibited status if I got them live. The specific guns are a MG-42, PPS-41, and MP-40. I have quite a bit saved up in terms of funds.

Umm, did you not see marstar bring in a good sized shipment of dewat ak74 rifles last December???

As stated, Sebarms has several, all recent style de activations though, so no moving parts.

Collectors source has several as they do de activations as well as sell previously deactivated.

Wolverine also has several they are aelling as private sales. They also have prohibs they are willing to dewat.

Like any firearm related part, shop around. Pricing can fluctuate dramatically.

I know Marstars have those guns but there not deactivated, maybe talk to them and they could sell you one and deactivate it for a fee or something, unless theres laws preventing them from doing that.

I just traded off a very nice MG-42 #### and click dewat and still have an MG-34 #### and click in the EE with a nice selection of accessories. She's a bit of a mutt but in very nice shape.

The Collectors Guild is a Canadian company that offer lots of genuine accessories, and occasionally a few dewat firearms.
Keep you eye on the Military Surplus Rifle and 12(x) categories in the EE. You can often purchase a Full Auto (FA) of Converted Auto (CA) firearm and then have it deactivated prior to taking possession.
