I was riding my bike and came across this deer that had been hit by a vehicle.

I'll one-up you with the dead cow-moose I saw 3-4 weeks ago coming home from Homestead range...

Fuk did it stink, couldn't have been dead more than 3hrs either. It wasn't there on the way out.

Iv cut the antlers off many deer on the side of the road that have been hit. Makes for some funny looks from other drivers

Unless they know what someone is doing it does looks suspicious. I can’t believe no one has been caught by the police for someone calling in hey you has to see what that guy is doing to a deer at the side of the road.

And what are the police going to do? charge you with attempted deer slaughter?

Round here you have to call the MNR and report it and they normally say go ahead.

The impact definitely broke his back. Always sorry to see any wildlife killed on our highways. Would of been a decent buck for a hunter this fall.

Yah it is illegal here in BC as well..........

Antlers in velvet go bad very fast. Unless you know when the deer was killed I wouldn't bother taking them. They need to get into the freezer until they can be treated with chemicals... Once they go bad they are no good I was told by my taxidermist neighbour.
