Hey all. I've googled it and found nothing useful. Can anyone here weigh in.

What are the benefits of either of these two bags? Is either one better than the other. If they are both garbage, how about the style of the bags is one style better over the other if made by another company?

Thanks.

Well I bought the tack driver. And the damn thing is too low. I need at least another two inches higher. I had it at the range and the only way I could use it was to put it sideways and rest my rifle on top of it. It would work well for shooting down on a target but the but stock hits the ground so aiming it up slightly or even level is a challenge. Ironically there was a guy at the range with the deadshot bag and even that was too low for him. He turned it sideways at one point to get it higher.

Maybe should have kept my money for a bipod but I'd rather have one thing for multiple guns.

I don't have any bags right now, I went from whatever the range had lying around to a Steady Point Shooter's rest(lead sled copy). What's amazing is when I swap rifles the Rem 700 will be looking over the backstop when the Ruger was aimed at the lowest target. The Steady Point used a scissor jack style front rest and I can quickly change up and down to compensate for the different rifles. Since I'm not shooting competetively I filled the front rest with #6 shot and it works very well. Shooting bags may work well with one rifle but not another.

I'm currently debating getting a caldwell "Rock" front rest and rear bag. It has elevation adjustment so would work with just about any rifle.

I was just thinking about this again. You could cut some "risers" out of 2x10 or 2x12 and put a non slip spacer between. I have some 8mm foam type carpet underlay from home depot. I always keep a few squares of various sizes in my shooting bag. 2 risers with foam or other non slip would gain you 3" for less money than a new system. Using whatever is around the house world be cheapest. Just try to keep the footprint wider than your bags and use a non slip spacer if you need multiple risers.
