Lacordee has Speedcross 3 GTX for $105 plus tax in many popular sizes and Altitude Sports has a bunch of Speedcross 3 models in odd sizes, mostly 11 in the $75-85 ballpark. If you guys are looking for a new pair of light shoes for outdoor action shooting, both these sites offer significant savings :)

Edit: Lacordee has free shipping over $100, so that's a nice bonus.. Not sure about Altitude sports since they didn't have my size. The GTX model has Goretex for better temperature regulation (good for someone who sweats a lot like me lol)

For me the motivating factor was that the Merrells that I'm still using really don't like my feet... Felt great at the store, but after a couple of hours, I really begin to feel the pain on the soles of my feet. Most likely a good design, but a poor match to the way I was built, so once these were mentioned in another thread, I figured I'd give them a whirl. Can't be any worse lol

Ok, I just wore these shoes for 3 hours on a hard surface. Good support, very light , great traction and zero pain after the fact. I initially rejected these shoes because they were a bit tight up front for my duck feet, but I broke them in pretty quick and the comfort level was outstanding. Got a bit of a ribbing for the style (IPSC guys look like 2bit Russian gangsters lol) but all in all, I'm happy with the purchase :)

How did the sizing go? I've heard that one guy had to go up a whole size? that seems like a "red herring" to me since I've tried a few of the Salomon shoes and for the most part they fit "true to size" I went up a 1/2 size on the Quest and it was perfect for me. I'm hoping its the same for these.

Perfect for me.. I'm a 9.5W and while these 9.5's were a little tight in front (sideways) they got broken in quite nicely after a couple of hours of shooting. As I mentioned before, I got duck-feet.

Thanks, I have slightly wider feet myself, and have been OK wearing other Salomon shoes. Sounds like I should be G2G

Great kick... I'm impressed and I gotta rethink my general shoe-shopping strategy... Before it was "try EVERYTHING that fits the specs and choose the ones that are most comfortable".. But that's how I eliminated the Salomons (tight up front) and chose the Merrells (fine for a little while, but agony after a couple of hours).

Just picked up a pair of the Forces model, should have them in a couple of days, I'll comment on the sizing for folks. Cheers

So I have a pair now, pretty light and the tread is wild, size is G2G, I normally wear a 12 and got a 12.5, just enough room in the toe area and the width is fine. Pretty slick shoe! :)

I have the same problem.
