Deal Guidelines for Buyer & Seller - Please Read

Seller claims he is an ex Machinist for 20 years says he also is a Tinkerer, uses language like a Guy from Sotheby Auction House. Wants to sell me a Mould with a missing washer, I am thinking something more is missing and/or does not add up so I ask him for propper Indentification he refers me to his Traders rating in his case not good enough for me as I am now suspicius. He tells me now he does not want to sell me the Item anymore. Fine with me I got what I wanted from other Vendors here without any Bull####.
 
Might I add; (under promise and over deliver). Nothing worse than a seller saying good condition when in fact it is beat up. Be honest & detailed about the condition. Good means good! It doesn't mean scratched, gouges or wear.

IMHO, lousy communications warrants a negative feedback. I have never done it but sometimes it is tempting.

Vengeance was not my motive. I felt I had been wronged, even tho no money changed hands. Actions such as that one are, in my old-fashioned mind, very rude, and poor "business" practice.
Should I have left neg feedback? Perhaps not. But if I had pulled such a nasty trick, or any nasty trick, on a potential buyer, I would expect to hear about it, up to and including "negative feedback".
Time and public opinion will be my judges. It is a matter of principle to me, and if that makes me look bad, so be it :)

Edit: If the fellow had replied and said something to the effect that " I feel this item is really worth a bit more, would you be willing to pay a bit more?" I would have had no problem with it. It is simply the fact that he completely ignored my follow-up pm's, ie: requesting where to send the money on what I believed to be a made deal. Communication, communication, communication is what it's all about :)

Communication is key big time , most people can deal with whatever as long as they are kept in the loop and dealt with straight and up front. Its common courtesy and respect really.
 
As a seller I use to wait for the item to arrive before leaving feedback, not for any particular reason it seemed easier. But in the last few years I leave feedback as soon as I receive payment; through EE discussions I came to realize it was better to leave right away.
The buyer had communicated quickly and paid promptly and was nice to deal with I had no reason not to leave feedback; the fact that feedback can be edited or removed within 30 days is helpful as well.
 
We all agree good, simple and regular comms are paramount to a good deal, but let's not forget proper packing. CP is not known for their gentle handling of packages so please wrap and ship things properly. Cardboard and tape are simple tools,, and some simple newspaper or foam packing does wonders. Some of the packages I've received were a joke. When I ship your new and maybe expensive item, I pack the &€%# out of it, as if it was mine. If you get it and it takes you 10 minutes to cut the tape and cardboard away to find it wrapped in scraps from my wife's quilting table, then I am happy
