I know this is 'below' your stated range, but I and others on other forums have found the Girsan MC312 semi a reliable choice. Around here they are going around #400 + tx. There are several Y-tube vids including a good review by Randy Wakeman, and others in many forums. The gun is very light at about 6# or so, and I recommend a Limbsaver since the oem butt is very firm, to say the least. Mine has fired and cycled everything I've fed it, from 1oz #8 to 1oz slugs, all in 2 3/4". They make a 3 1/2 chamber but I didn't see the need since I'm 70 and sorta light myself:rolleyes:

I agree with 'stubblejumper' to take care with unknowns, but Girsan has been in business over 20 years and the MC312 is a Benelli-clone since the patent is run out. Very dependable and well made. Compared to what a x3, x4 or maxus. Not on one's life.
They are priced as they are for a reason
How many here own one?? I wonder
Internet reviews are just that. The Weatherby SA-08 was the best semi to come out of turkey and that still falls short and yes other than the x4 & 312 I have one of the others.
Just my 2 cents
Take care

I love my Maxus with dura touch. I've shot the gun in every weather imaginable, everything from 2 3/4" to 3.5". Never a hiccup Easy to clean. I use it waterfowl, coyote, small game hunting as well as skeet shooting. Ive had it for 6 years now with likely 1000+ rounds. Sold my Beretta A400 to buy it. Glad I did as it just fits me better.

I believe the Maxus is a bit nicer than an SX3/SX4. I think I would still buy an SX3 over an SX4
