Death of a garand

Right now a japanese soldier just high-fived a unicorn and made shinto superhuman babies and they said: "Haha round eyes you won the war on the sea but now you buy ipod and elmo dolls from us". It's so hard to get away from the invincible empire's war machine, they will chase you down and sell you stuff faster than the kid in the 1996 cavalier who is trying to race you at every intersection. Good thing I bought reliable Honda, because when the chevy breaks down on the side of the road you have to hide before the kids with the baggy pants come.

Squibs are scary things... With ear protection on, sometimes it's almost impossible to hear the primer pop... Procedure, procedure, procedure.... I've seen very experienced professional shooter even get caught by a squib. If your ever shooting and hear the light pop for fawks sake yell cease fire.. Squibs are pretty rare, so you could really save a person along with their firearm for piping up if you hear a squib.

you should feel it in the sholder if you don't you know something went wrong. Its happend to me bang bang bang. pfff.. what was that.. check o a bullet.. Clear bore keep shooting.

This is true haha, but like already stated, the autoloading rifle is the one that will most likely break your concentration on the target, or game if hunting, ....and force you to go manual and think about what has happened.

When I sold hand-loads to co-workers years ago, I would double check on my loading block with good lighting that each and every round had a "Full" charge.

I didn't want a co-worker with a pump 760 or a Savage 99 lever, quickly racking a fresh .308Win into the chamber, will shooting feverishly at a running monster buck, because they thought they had just experienced a dud, when in fact they now have a bomb in front of their unprotected eyes and face at trigger squeeze.

I do not think that it is a squib.

You can see gas departing the muzzle on that shot before the Kaboom

I think that it is an out of battery.

Ah geez, Storm, the group is having fun with their wild guesses, and here you show up with actual observations and ruin things. Next thing you will be pointing out that all the gas clearly vented through the action, whereas an obstructed bore would have caused the rupture to occur in the barrel.
