"Death of The Hunt Camp" - Featured in the Nov 2017 issue of The Landowner Magazine

Latest little tid bit I picked up from Ontario Farmer. Antis are apparently placing lengths of buried re bar and other steel objects in farmers fields to puncture tires, to discourage land clearing. Screwed up is right.

Grizz

so you're telling me people tresspass onto private land, illegally bury foreign objects with the sole intention of causing damage to the landowners machines simply because they oppose land clearing? wow

tough battle against the antis, hunters / conservationists would never go to these extreme lengths for our point of view.

Is it not unlawful to fly a drone over someone's premises for purposes of spying/surveillance? At least without consent... I wonder if one must physically contact Google, withdrawing any permission they think they have, to place private property under satellite surveillance? As interesting and sometimes useful that satellite maps can be, this doesn't supersede privacy rights. It'd be funny to see a bunch of black dots all over the satellite map.

Should have looked into it myself. Posted that based on what a retired building official told me. Thanks for the heads up - post now revised.
Really you were pretty close with your post. Your retired building inspector probably seen a thing or two go afoul during his day. A person who has a building all done properly and inspected ok can sometimes do some additions without a permit and if they don’t get caught, then sell the building to a friend and can quite often get away with it. See my comments in post #40. My next door neighbor got away with it no problem.

No, these are farm implements not clearing machines: The bars being placed in fields where clearing machines do not operate clearing indicate combine harvesters are the target specifically, as that is the next machine that will pass over a field of grown corn. The height of stupidity really, biting the hand that feeds you. It's unfortunate that villains such as these cannot be specifically targeted by famines instead of whole populations that are innocent of such maliciousness...
