Debating between a few scope for my .338

i'm looking for a scope for my .338 and i'm debating between Nikon Monarch Gold serie, leupold VX-3 or VX-3L or bushnell 6500 serie. Ill be using mostly this rifle for big game hunting. I am more tempted by Nikon but what do you guys think?

I have a Ziess 3.5x10x44 on my 338 wm.that I would not trage for any of the above.

Whats your budget ? What kind of big game and more importantly, what kind of terrain ? Is weight an issue ?

hey Gorky, i got 1000$ ish to spend. And its mostly for Moose, cariboo and hopefully one day ELK. Moose and cariboo ranges anywhere between 100m to 400m. weight is not an issue.

I like lighter scopes on heavy recoilers, as I've found that it becomes more difficult to keep a scope from trying to creep forward. The heaver the scope the more momentum it creates trying to move itself forward. My vote is for a VX3 2.5-8

Have a look at the meopta's if you get a chance, they make stuff for zeiss. I have there meostar in a 56mm and am looking to get another late this year or sometime next.

Also had a look at the KAP scopes in WSS, I dont know why I dont hear more about them on here. I thought they were nice for the price.

I have a VX-II 4x12 40mm with the AO on my 338wm and I'm happy with it.

Sightron SIII's are pretty sweet, and all seem to be $899 (for 8-32x56) and under.
